Hey man, you have to get a separate plug in module to advance timing...the box itself only retards it for boost/nitrous, etc..
Also, a soft rev limiter is a rev limiter that doesn't cut fuel off, causing the engine to stop and then start when it hits a hard rev limiter. The MSD box drops one cylinder at a time randomly to prevent the motor from revving higher, rather than shutting off the fuel...shutting off fuel under boost = VERY BAD. The resulting sound of the MSD dropping one cylinder at a time is the chatterbox sound...like when an outlaw car stages....
