I live where its very cold during the winter and I was wondering if its still a good idea to take the plastic Duratec cover off the front of the engine. I know that this is usually a good thing to do. But I was wondering if frost and coldness would damage the wires underneath. Any input would be great. Thanks ahead of time.

Um...No. It won't be any colder under there because you have removed the cover. However it will be cooler once the engine comes up to temp. I've never heard of someone suffering from poor performance related to a cold IMRC.

I'd do it.
I took the oil out of my car too so that I wouldn't have that stuff slowing down my engine. That thing revs so awesome now without the drag!! All you have to do it put some slick 50 in once, and your good for life!

Michigan gets cold? Try going to northern Canada or Alaska then you will know what cold is!!
