If you want an Infinity, and you want to pay for it buy one. If Volvo design quality is where it's at, again, pay for it.
Why do people compare a Ford to a BMW, Infinity, Volvo or an Acura? Completely differnt classes of cars, with different price points.
The old adage works here: You get what you pay for.
All the pictures I posted are of cars in its price range. Thats not a stretch.

And I did. I got into a bone stock G35 6MT, out of a SVT Contour, so I think I'm qualified to respond. I'd say that the Fusion fully loaded will not be that much less than what I paid for the G35 (give or take a few grand).
My complaint is that Ford is now essentially a coach builder. They allow Volvo and Mazda to do all of the engine design and chassis development. Then they slap on a body that's so watered down from the concept car:
Ford is now basically Buick, getting vanilla hand me downs from it's sister companies. Blah.
1st off - thats not even the same car - so dont compare them. second - what is wrong with Mazda and Volvo doing what they do best? Ford is smart to allow them to do the work that they are good at - its only good sense to then use that work and make a ford verison of an outstanding engineering workpiece.
You sound like a biased buyer that wouldnt purchase the mazda because its japanese and the volvo because its european, even if they are better cars for cheaper.

I see a G35/Cadillac front end with a Honda Accord/Prelude rear end
I don't like it...atleast not the rear
I vote for the body colored lights

Read my sig. Obviously I had no problem owning American in the past, and now I obviously own Japanese. I have no problem with Mazda and Volvo doing what they are doing. The problem is that Ford (USA) is only capable of making trucks for themselves these days. Every sedan we get is a compromise because it was designed for another market, or a compromise b/c they tone it down for this market. Ford hasn't had a class leader in years, and I don't see anything coming along to change that. My point is that there is not much differentiating Ford from Buick. Every Buick is a hand-me-down off the shelf from it's stablemates. Now every Ford is too. Maybe if Ford had a suitable follow-on product to the SVT, I'd still be driving American instead of my G35. But that's not the case.
At least they still have the Mustang...

Why does Ford tone down their vehicles for America? Aren't we the greatest country in the world? Why can't we get Ford's best effort? Why does Europe get the high quality interiors, while America gets yards upon yards of the hardest plastics developed since kevlar?

How do you like that G35 6M? That's what I'll probably get next fall.
