I know, its just a lot of money to spend at once. Around $1400 for the clucth, then $600 for the LSD, then another two hours extra to put it in, all of a sudden I am at, $2200. Then the shifter forks aswell, $100, the bushings ect, and its now $2400.

I can't afford that right now, and from what i ahve heard, the diff usually only goes out from a lot of hard starts/launches, which I never do anyways.

As far as clucthes......

$1400 to replace a clutch. Damn, talk about an arse raping. Too bad you aren't in MI. I'd replace you clutch for $650, including the clutch itself.

Also you'd be able to get a Quaife and whatnot done at Terry Haine's in Rockford (Grand Rapids) for a damn good price too.

No..Stazi is an engineer with ton's O experience with the contour platform. He's a good guy to go to...and that price he quoted you is EXCELLENT...the clutch will run you ~$300 alone...

Yeah $500 for a factory clutch is too much. Get a SPEC clutch, about $300 for a stage 1 and it has lots of good reviews on this site.

The stock clutch is a Sachs. It's a good unit. I'd get a Spec Stage 1 though if I had to replace one.

For the Coximport one, has anyone tried it? Not a bad price at all.

The Spec stage 1, does anyone have a contact number and opinions?

Recommended to a shop by BAT, quoted $600 plus tax to do it all, including resurface flywheel.

I am still not sure its the clutch though, there is no clutch slip at all.

It may be the slave cylinder not working very well any more - it's common for those to wear out and when they do it makes shifting a PITA. Once again, the only way to change this is to pull the tranny. Either way if you swap out the clutch you should swap out the slow cylinder.
