I would check out ExplorerForum.com. If I recall correctly, there were a lot of issues with 02 Explorers. My parents had one for a few months and had to trade it in. The 4x4 leaks like crazy. Others with the 02's had simliar problems, as well as other problems. Its a good site. I used to frequent it back when I had my 94 XLT.
