Tips for first time college newb's (freshman). I'll be attending WCCC (Wayne County Community College) this Winter/Spring '05 Majoring in Nursing more then likely. I'm thinking about doing my preq. at WCCC then transferring to "Hank High" Henry Ford or another college to finish off the degree. So, far I have the semesters mapped out with a graduation date of June '08. I'm also taking some CIS classes while doing my Nursing courses but most of the CIS will be during the summer semesters when the nursing program will be off.

I guess I'm asking how to approach school work/classes being my first time going to school in 7 years. I had to leave high school in my senior year and needed 1.5 credits to graduate, but never finished them. Then about 6 years later I just got fed up working a Quailty Control Job, where I knew more then my bosses about the field in which they had more "vocational" ability. So, I paid $110 to go take the G.E.D. and passed it first try and no studying (which I know for some It's kind of funny since it's only a general education test) but having low self esteem it took me those 6 years to take the damn thing thinking I'd fail. So, that leads me to where I am now, looking to further my education and provide for my family....

My first semester will consist of:
ENG 110 4.00
BIO 255 4.00
PSY 101 3.00
CIS 110 3.00
Credit total = 14.00

What do you recommend for school equipment? Bag/backpacks, Folders,Laptop, recorders?
