Installed my new post 5/99 knock sensor this weekend. Once I fished it down between the firewall and the engine it was easy and it basically pointed to where it connects to the engine.
Its a bolt hole with a round lip that matches the sensor diameter. The lip being on the engine block being a molded or casted part of the engine block.
I flashed my computer with my a OBDII scanner and pulled the plug. I can't say I notice any difference, though perhaps the car needs to run a little longer.
