The convertible looks like a Pontiac Solstice and the sedan looks like a pontiac G6. Guages look cool.

I hope your being sarcastic...

My mx-3 wieghs 2530lbs, and I have about 172 HP.. and its capable of hitting flat 14 with traction,

so I don't think that car is going to be that quick.

Honestly, what the F is wrong with you to compare a hard top coupe to a Convertible? Do you honestly understand the extra weight automakers have to put ino a convertible to keep the safety and rigidity standards up to the Govt's specs.

Comparing your motor swapped 1993 MX3 to a 2006 production car is just plain stupid.

I guess his point went clear the hell over your head.

ding ding ding, damn... I was stating the fact that it has such low horsepower, but as someone suggesting you oviously didnt think before you posted

No I got it , but I think a Convertible for under $25K loaded with comfort, good looks, and 170 HP in a RWD chasis should hit mid 14's easy! 170HP is now considered low? Think Z4 2.5 category. Think how much fun the 140HP Miatas are and how extra HP just throws the balance of the car off.

Plenty of excitement for a car that size!

Miata's don't wieght 2800 lbs,

for that car, IMO its much to heavy, they should of at least brought it to 2500 lbs, mid 14's????? so think about it, you get a 200 lb driver, your talking 3000 lbs@170 hp? I'de love to see 14 's come from that.

Hey, I like it. Now if they'd just put a real engine in it I might consider it for my next car. I do hope they've toned down the DRL brightness. Anyone else get annoyed by a Saturn's DRLs intensity?

The last few years, all GM has done is shat upon Saturn. Looks like that's about to change.

The roadster looks good. It needs to loose about 200 lbs. or grow a 6 to really make a statement beyond styling.

The sedan reminds me of an Altima. Which isn't a bad thing. That may be the best looking GM car, besides the Vette or recent Caddy's, I have seen in years .

Someone said they hope GM doesn't screw this up. Amen.

Saturn is about to become something completely different from what we've known it as. GMs plan is to position Saturn squarely between Pontiac and Buick, to replace Oldsmobile, so you can expect their looks, quality, and of course price to increase in the coming years.

This, along with GMs new philosophy of "better to spend $500 on quality now than offer $1500 in rebates later" should help Saturn, and the overall image of GM, move up in the world. Which is a lot more than I can say about Ford.

Hopefully for GM they are able to reinvent Saturn's reputation. If saturn has the same cars that every other GM brand has, its going to come down to the badge when people decide which way to buy. Right now i would much rather own a pontiac than a saturn, but a few years of putting out bad a$$ cars may change that.

i didn't see either saturn at the L.A. auto show today but i did see the pontiac solstice, which iirc is the same car as the saturn sky. it looks just as ugly in person as it does in the photos. i was hoping that maybe i was miss judging the photos. oh well, there is only one gm vehicle i want anyway.

Does anything impress you these days?

Anyway, Saturn's off to a good start with these models IMO. The convertible looks really nice. I wonder if they'll have the plastic sides like Saturn is known for, but I'd doubt that GM would go through the trouble of reengineering the entire Solstice in order to incorporate the stick-on fenders. I already know the Relay is the first Saturn with steel sides to it.

And that Aura looks really good! If only it had a manual...

Lexus quality is quite a reach for GM, and that's something I'd associate more with Cadillac than Saturn, but only time will tell.
