Lightning looks better.
SRT-10 has a manual tranny.
Probably a push when it comes to trucks.
Therefore I'd take the Lightning on looks, modability, and it HAS to be cheaper to maintain then a Viper powertrain.

Ah there pigs. The power out put is rather un-impressive. But they handle surprisingly well for that big of a vehicle

I'd build an S15 with an LS2 swap. and put the money I save down on a house. My best friend is in the process of doing this. Only he is installing a built up 350 which should be pushing around 400 HP. He's also modifying the frame and suspension in an attempt to make it handle like a dream. We'll see...

lets look at the horsepower per liter. the dodge, 500 hp to 8.3 liters. thats 60 hp per liter. the ford 390 hp to 5.4 liters, thats 72 hp per liter. lets add free flowing axhaust, intake, pully and chip and I have seen these run up to 625 hp on pump gas, that is almost 116 hp per liter. yes anyone can take a hugh V10 or big block and get lots of power but it takes creativity and brain power to make a truck that can easily push 600 hp all day long, run 11's at the track and then tow home the other race car and still nail down 20+ mpg on the highway. Lightning any day. And just wait untill the next gen lightning comes out. it will samck all over that dodge like the redheaded step child of a viper that it is.

Found a pic of our bucket truck... look at that Bling Bling grille. Imagine that with chrome wheel inserts and a crew cab with that interior... Oh, and that's probly faster than your car.... (at least the stock Zetec Autos) [/thread_hijack]
