Hey everyone,

Well I received my C&L 73mm MAF from Silver Bullit a few days ago. Here is a link to the thread on NECO where I posted pictures of it:
C&L MAF thread

I can't wait to get it on. It is an extremely solid unit, nicely machined on the inside track. Definitly beats having a center post smile

I am just waiting for my 19lb SVT injectors so I can put both on at the same time... so my front end setup is going to end up being

Injen
C&L 73mm MAF
SVT TB (optimized with a dremmel)
SVT UIM
Larger stock LIM
19lb inejctors

Plus my Apexi to tune it all in...

I'm sorry, but I think the C&L 73mm is a waste of money. I still don't comprehend how a bigger MAF, can work with stock electronics??? And if your buying new, spend the extra $20 and get the Pro-M.

I'm speaking from experience too, I had the 73 POS on my 93 SHO, and believe that was the problem in holding my SHO back.

Ryan, On my SHO the 73mm Helped out up high. I know I lost low end but up high was sweet...But everyone had a different outcomes with that MAF on the SHO...Remember the old days on the SHOTIME forum? ahhhhhhh

Anyway, let us know how that MAF on the cougar goes...

That's why you don't make MAF's!!!

I guess a bigger filter don't work with stock electronics, or how bout a bigger exhaust

The only thing CnL is doing is trying to mimick the factory voltage computer reads but adjusting it enough for the added airflow via differing sized sampling tubes to speedup or slowdown air,in essence the added airflow is just what it is, added air-flow, it's no difference than putting an open filter, larger TB, freer flowing exhaust.

Again only time (dyno) will tell what the true benefits are but no need to knock the product. If it didn't work for your SHO, that's a individual case scenario, a number of factors could of played in, faulty stock electronics or wrong sampling tube. In either case I'm sure if you weren't satisfied you got your money back. I know it works for the majority of vehicles that it's used on, and to top it off a Company wouldn't put a gurantee behind there performance gains if there weren't any!!! wink
