I would take the lightning just because its a sweet looking truck. The Dodge would be so fun beacuse its fast but does not look as good.

actually, im not so sure it does own. Dodge is releasing the next batch of SRT10s with auto tranny because most owners are having a difficult time trying to hook up a truck with that much power with a manual trans. remember, there is practically no weight on driving wheels in a truck, with a lot of power it is very easy to sit there and burn the $$$ tires all day, even when you dont want to. the next batch will also include a crew cab version.

i like the looks of the dodge minus the wing in back which hampers putting anything in the bed and im not talking about moving refrigerators or loading up the truck with sheets of plywood or anything, just everyday stuff like it you were to go camping, or buy a new 36" tv...etc. can you imagine asking a buddy or relative to borrow their truck so you can bring your new tv home? theyd be like "didnt you just BUY a truck for $50k?!?!" then you'd say "yeah, but..." and they'd be like

i think its wheels are too big. it looks great for acceleration but looks like it would seriously lose to the lighting in the handling dept.

i would take the lightning. i think they are georgious trucks and would love to drive one one day. I would actually prefer the next gen concept lightning, what with the chop top and self charging "NOS" system and all anyone have any pics of that beast handy??

FYI: Only the QuadCab model gets the auto tranny. ALL standard cab's still get the 6spd Manual.

Lightning's hook up just fine, more than a few guys are pulling 1.7s consistently and highly modded guys 1.5-1.6s....Mind you, there isn't alot to do to get these trucks to hook up. In my limited two times to the track, I pull 'measily' 1.9x's
