Actually it doesn't own. have you seen the throw on it? Those trucks with an average driver (not to mention a 45k sticker) are on par with the Lightning. You'd think for 10k+ 120 more hp it would be a helluva lot quicker than the Lightning. What are they rated to tow? Oh, that's right! Thanks manuall tranny, NOTHING! BTW, a TT kit for those trucks...a measaly 42k....a CAI...600. Originally posted by Quick_SVT: I love my fords as much as the next guy... but that manual tranny in the SRT10 ownz...

I'll show ya truck :-) Originally posted by Quick_SVT: What do they run stock?
All depends on the driver, IIRC, anywhere from a low 13 to a mid 14. Lightnings, the 99/00 are a tick slower than the 01+ but typically 13.3ish to low 14s.

IMO, it is. 500hp and all the hoopla surrounding it. Bottom line is the Lightning IS the better all around truck and kills the SRT10 in the bang for the buck category. Originally posted by Quick_SVT: Not bad, considering it's weight...

Then obviously you haven't riden in a Lightning. I've never felt a manual hit as hard as my truck does

Speaking from a man who owns a Lightning, the Ford hands down, I can mod it and still tow a boat or throw my motorcycle int he back. The Lightning is one he** of a truck, its lighter, quicker and looks better IMP but I am byass(sp), I did test drive a SRT-10 and wasnt that impressed, loose steering, rougher ride, the SRT-10 has better brakes, but with the huge heavy rims, it still takes alot of brake to slow it down, IMO, not worth the $55K or so price tag, I got my L in the high 11's for under that including the price of the truck. And the most important thing to me is that I can still tow and haul some decent weight....
