hi Arsenal and welcome..... my old lights did that (flicker) on my mondeo i dont know if it will be the same folt but i had a clip broke in light unit, the clip was holding the silver refelctor i'd look at that very poss a quick fix

A/C kicking on will cause a noticeable jump, anyway... not a problem..

thanks, looked at the compressor today, clutch seemed to be kicking in okay. Now down to the shifting!

Where abouts are you from in England? Use to live in Swindon, but family all over, live in FL now.

do they flicker when u first start the car up , like flicker in and out a couple of times and then it goes to normal , if so thats a new feature that they put in contours and svts , what its does is it surges the power in and out a couple of times , so it prevents the wiring from being fried

That is the BIGGEST LOAD I've ever seen posted on these boards. Where did you get THAT information??? (I'm guessing a used car salesman or a "friend".

Actually it does do that. Also took a closer look and found out that a couple of tabs were broken so causing it do more than just flicker.

Any one have a problem with the key tumbler, as if it is hard to get the key into?

As for the key tumbler, try turning the steering wheel a little bit in either direction. Happens to me ocassionally.
