Do you have a Harbor Freight Tools up in Michigan? This place kicks ass! I'd be willing to bet you could walk away with a hoist and a stand for ~$100.00.

Nope. Pep Boys had the best price I could find on a hoist. Again it didn't come with a chain or stab. bar though so I ordered one from Northern. Still ended up a little cheaper than HF's cheapest model. $160 I think is the lowest for them.

Actually there is a Harbor Freight, but it's Southgate! Driving there and back would cost me enough in gas

Well Stazi mine handles a 2 1/2 car garage pretty well as I've detailed cars with those outside temp gauges and my garage is about 62-68 degrees when its between 10-30 outside.

i have a "hotdog" by modine...  it keeps our garage a nice 60 degrees all winter. we have used my garage for a few winter contour projects. it is a bit on the pricy side but is well worth it.

No? Southgate, Flint, and Ann Arbor just that I know of.
$29.00 for a 3-legged special, or 39.99 for the 4 legged(rated some were around 800-1000, dont remeber exactly).
