How do I remove that hotdog-shaped black plastic cover on the dash that says "Contour" on it? It's above the HVAC controls, and it covers the place where the CD player is supposed to be.

Pop it out, be sure you don't scratch the trim around it. Depending on year, model, etc, you might have to unplug a multiplug from it.

doesnt cover the cd player,if you didnt get a clock here then you got the "hotdog" shaped piece of plastic to cover the hole and it comes out very easily

I'd kill to have the clock there, so I can leave the CD player showing the track time. Instead, I get a plate that says CONTOUR, to remind me what kind of car I'm driving. --T.J.
