So explain why monster is Better SQ?
like 2 more twist's per inch? just trying to figure this out... i could under stand if your testing it vs a plastic coat hanger, then obviously monster would sound better but come on...
I have had expirence with almost every single wire company out there and my Fav are
#1 Stinger...cosmetic reasons
#2 Streetwires...Cosmetic reasons and yeah there So called higher end crap is pricey just like monsters
Knukoncepts(please don't sue me for using your name on here) i have only had expirance once with and it was in MXracer's car. I can say that 4wire 12guage twisted pair was SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they end up bringing that cable back saying that they didn't see/hear a difference, no problem, here's the phone number to a good optometrist/otologist.
If you(general term) don't like it or haven't been educated on Monster technology, fine, that's your loss. But don't TRY and preach it to others.
Good luck with that letter.

So most of you are saying that you don't buy Monster cables because of marketing "hype". I for one have yet to ever see a monster TV, radio or print advertisement here in Canada. And its a Canadian company that's the #1 retailer of Monster. That means only two things: 1)Sales people here believe in it 2) Lots of word of mouth from customers.
If you don't like companies that have aggressive advertising then you can't shop anywhere. Lets make a list of other companies that do the same thing.
Wal-Mart Circuit City Best Buy Futureshop Johnson & Johnson companies (talk about a huge company) Progressive Insurance (I can't go through one TV show from the US without seeing at least 3 commercials) Ford GM Chrysler Every single television station Sony Panasonic LG Sprint (telephone services) Cingular Covergirl Dell (!!) Radioshack Rogers (Canadian communications giant, cable, internet, wireless) GAP Old Navy McDonalds Burger King A&W Wendy's AT&T
The list can go on forever. All the big companies spend just a much on advertising "hype".
This is getting ridiculous. If you don't like a company'sproduct or the way the company works, keep on shopping somewhere and keep it to your self.
The reason you like to sell Monster cables is because they pay a better comission to the sales person. If the crappier cables had a better comission than the Monster cables you push those harder. Bottom line you just push the Monster for the comission.

Thats the typical attitude and its BS. Like what was said in the other thread a while back, there are some shady sales people out there but not all are like that. If you came into a store that I worked and said that you would never ever get serviced there again. The commission in electronics retail is going down the shitter due low margin. All of the assecories at Futureshop/Best Buy pay relativly the same amount of commission. And its not as much as you'd think.

I've seen so many of these conversations on monster cable lately. They were just written up in forbes too. Its hilarious. They have been so successful they are moving into other markets. We will start to see other monster branded stuff soon enough. Its marketing genious. They take advantage of the typical american idea that more $$ is better. They also take advantage of marketing 101... when you spend extra on something you justify it. Your mind constantly reassures itself that the purchase was correct. In your head it sounds better. Ive yet to see any scientific tests done that favor Monster cable (unless monster paid for the test)

Alright, this thread is getting worse. Battling with people who have spent a lot of money on wires was not the intention. The biggest problem with the company recently has to do with the bullying of defenseless unrelated companies that couldn't possibly harm or effect monster in any way.

People are sheep, that is why they profit. Tests are not going to be accurate- anyone that might acutally benifit from high end cables will have high end equipment, and a $100 cable will not matter to them with a $5000 system. Common people that have basic systems that are not capable of reciving high digital signals will, I'm sure, not notice a difference in quality. Any "noticeable" differnce would be psychological, I'm sure. Monster is a waste of money.

Matt,
I am quite sure that even 100k systems will not benefit from high end wire. Solidly built interconnects and properly sized speaker wire is all that matters.
I haven't not seen a valid scientific test that has ever shown that people can hear the difference between different wires. If anyone can find one, I would love to see it.
