Dear Sirs/Madams,

Let me first say that I have had a high level of distaste for marketing snake oil, so it is no surprise that I am not a fan of your marketing company that happens to sell wire on the side. That being said, I understand that Monster Cable, like any other company, is out to make money at the expense of consumers. However, my level of disgust for Monster Cableâ??s business practices regarding protecting your â??valuedâ? name has reached new heights. I am a huge fan of electronics, especially consumer electronics that deal with the production/reproduction of audio. I hope the negative press your company has been receiving keeps compounding itself until it causes a severe financial impact on your company. I can tell you that there is a ground swell of audio fanatics who have been severely turned off by your ridiculous harassment of smaller companies that canâ??t possibly fight back. I though it was bad enough that the Monster Cable in the past has struggled to produce wire with the same quality as wires half their cost. I have counted at least 200 of your current customers who have, in the last week, pledged to no longer purchase your products. I realize that your lack of ethical business practices probably makes you less than concerned about a few hundred customers going elsewhere for their products. I can only hope what I have seen on a small cross-section of people on audio forums translates itself across the rest of your consumer base. Unfortunately, I know that most people are technically illiterate and Monster Cable preys on that ignorance, so you probably have a great deal of success in your future.

By the way, hereâ??s a marketing idea for you to considerâ?¦how about wire made specifically for a type of music! Oh wait, you are already marketing that BS.

Nice job Monster Cable, you are an embarrassment to ethical businesses everywhere and fully fit the name â??Monsterâ?...

Dave Newman
Concerned consumer

Nice letter. A copper wire is a copper wire, but they usually don't have any perference what type of music they are being used to play...

This is the first time i've heard of them bullying other companies, but it doesn't surprise me at all.

Honkeytonk, don't be so narrow in your quest... to really match the disgusting depths Monster Cable has reached you also need to go after anyone that has a product, slogan, internet address, or street address that contains any of your terms. You'll have fun going against all the zoos that have monkeys on display, encyclopedia companies for their entries on Monkeys, and possibly even Honkeytonks. Ohh, you could probably get a lot of money for use of "The Monkeys" as the name of a rock band, and a nice big fat royalty check for their main song We're the Monkeys!!

What Monster Cable is doing truly is pathetic and disgusting. They deserve all the spite and ill will that is being generated by their strong-arm tactics and intimidation of people/companies that could not possibly be confused as Monster Cable Inc.

Great letter. Monster is stupid and a waste of money, and anyone that thinks a certain cable is better for jazz than rock is retarded.
