I got the trubendz test pipe and the MSDS y-pipe on my 95 MTX V6 with the 2bolt flange. Problem: is that i have a major exhaust leak at the flange. Question: is there supposed to be a gasket of some sort between the y-pipe and the test pipe because Ford said no gasket "metal on metal".

Should be a large metal O-Ring in there... Mine cracked a while back and I have a small exhaust leak from it.

anyone got a picture showing this o-ring becasue today i got charged for 1.2hrs of labor for Ford to lift my car and try to install the wrong gasket for a total of $105CND. Then they claimed that the 2 hole gasket will not work since i got an after market headers and exhaust. the gasket that they were trying to install is the one that goes on the next joint right after the test pipe, but my argument wasn't going anywhere because i dont have the stock exhaust system and Ford's gaskets/rings will not work on my trubendz/MSDS exhaust setup. So there is an O-ring type sealer thingy that goes in the donut shaped flange thingy.

????????????? yes there is a "donut" gasket that goes in between the y-pipe flange and the flange for the cat...or in your case the straight pipe.....when you say the word "thingy" it brings other thoughts to mind

well the dealership now claims that my car has an ATX setup(2bolt with donut gasket) instead of the MTX(3bolt flange). i know they got it backwards but thats what their computer shows.

Some early SVT's had the 2-spring-bolt type flanges, so I don't think it's an MTX ATX thing. In any case, you need the graphite donut for those type flanges as a standard gasket won't work.

Stazi,
I need that graphite donut gasket that fits between the Y pipe and the Cat inlet. Do you have a part # for that?

No, sorry. When I replaced RyeLou's which was cracked in 4 pieces, I just took it to a Muffler Man shop and he matched it up. He said it was the same as one for a Caddy, but which one, I couldn't tell you.
