And that is the beauty of America. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Dan Brown obviously has his own opinion, as does Fmr13B. No one's is right, no one is wrong, it is OPINION. If they (Fmr13B, and others) are not intellectually stimulated by reading Dan Brown, that is fine. I enjoyed the book very much so, as did my wife, who was apprehensive at first to read it, because of the nature of the book. She understands that the book is someone elses interpretation of events that are not fully understood. She read the book for entertainment, not because the book claims to unseat the Bible .
Just to be clear, the book at least in part claims to unseat the Catholic Church and it's beliefs, which are not entirely in line with the Scriptures. Anyone that has actually read the Bible knows that many of the tenants of the Bible conflict with the Catholic Church's belief systems. The twelve Apostles and Jesus weren't Catholic after all. Yes, DC does challenge the divinity of Christ, talks about the Council of Nicea and the "official" vote on the divinity of Christ in the early 4th century (IIRC), and so forth. The Apostles, who certainly were not Catholic, certainly believed in the divinity of their Lord, as did many others in his time, long before the Nicean council was around.
