Not so fast. I agree with you somewhat, but it's not like he's just flying solo and making it up as he comes along. There's quite a bit of research to his books, and some of it is indeed a factual occurence. Now, I'm not throwing my hands up in the air and saying, "There is no GOD! The church will burn for what they've done!!", just pointing out that he does present a few good facts amongst what is mostly other non-fictional jargon.

Still good books, and for the original poster, check out "Rule of Four" by Ian Caldwell and Dustin Thomason. Not quite the same speed/depth as Dan Brown's books, but it follows the same line of an intelligent/clue hunting mystery.
