Bassani is on my 2000 SVT, however, I couldn't find an answer to this question in the search.
When I take the baffles out, what will it sound like? All I can find is loud. Does it sound like the Bassani with baffles only louder, or is it a different sound?
Once out, are they hard to put back in?
Hope they aren't too hard to get out.
Doug

Kind of hard to describe - pretty much the same sound, just much louder and a lot more drone.
To take out the resonator tips: - Spray with WD40 and let it sit for a bit - Wear thick gloves - Use either needle nose pliers or a small prybar - Sit on the ground, brace 1 or both feet on the muffler and start pulling!

I second that. I cut my hand washing the damn car. My tips actually came out with almost no effort.

Talk to Daveandrews. He drives around with his Bassani "UNCORKED" as he puts it.
He says that this way, he can start every car alarm on his block !!

It is 'loud', and I would have to say, it sounds the same only louder w/o the baffles. I bought mine used and never had the baffles but a buddy of mine had the baffles in.
I've gotten quite a few compliments on it....from MUSTANG owners!!!

I have mine "uncorked" and except for road trips, will never put them back in. I love the sound! Once out, they are breeze to put back in, I definately recommend trying it! I'll be putting mine back in for the driv eto and fro SZ, but while I am there, they will be coming out!

They definately do not want to come out. The whole exhaust is moving from the installed position.
Called Bassani and they said they aren't made to come out. Don't want to move the exhaust and have to get it modified after only 12 hours of being installed.
What do you guys think?

BS, not made to be removed my arse. They take "brute force". Get a pair of gloves, and someone to help you that is also wearing gloves. Take a pry bar and shove it in the middle until it is wedged. Twist and pull at the same time. Out they come! Oh, make sure you take the screw out first! I can't believe they actaully told you they wern't meant to come out, that makes me laugh as everyone I have ever seen with a Bassani, has taken them out! I guess they are just covering their arses

Jam a rag inside to protect it. Stick some needle nose pliers in and open them as far as you can. Twist it clockwise and counter clockwise while pulling to get them out. Mine were a pain. Used anti seize before putting them back in. I thought they were way too quiet in so I prefer them out. Its nice to have both options though.
Don't forget the allen screw on the bottom. I had to use a file to smooth the hole as it scraped on the resonater while I tried to remove it.
