That's virtually a home field for them with their fan base!" and how about "So what if we were rated #17 and only 16 teams got in. We were undefeated! We were robbed of a slot!!"

Your teams had an outstanding year. Grow up if that's not good enough. Fans of only about 100 other schools with football traditions would sell their male firstborns to go undefeated, so where's the sympathy supposed to come from? Go cry to an NHL fan. Or a Cubs fan. Or a Notre Dame fan.
