The problem with any stock engine is the small head ports.
SVT engines had the heads Extrude Honed (amount year dependant) which enlarged the ports noticeably. (couple mm)
A larger UIM or LIM will have little effect when the head inlets ports are the bottleneck. (i.e. smaller in diameter)
