My 2L Si Mk1 Mondeo would hit 0-60 in around 8.8 seconds. It was a manual car without a/c and well stiff suspension. It had that adaptive damping option which stiffened the springs as soon as the car experienced serious acceleration.
That was running on the standard fuel over here, 95RON. I put 97/98 into it for a few tankfuls (doesnt seem to make any difference to my V6) and the car felt noticably faster! but never did any 0-60's.
