When I see 96 Impala, I think old people cars.
As did everyone. Police car with nice wheels. yay!

It could certainly be better, but face it, the typical Impala buyer would probably rank looks quite far down on the list of needs. The current one is very successful because it's bigger than the other cars in it's class.

Since it's a pre-production model I sure hope they line up the panels better. Looks like it's already been run to hell and back.
The spokes on the wheels are too large. The whole wheel package looks too large for that platform.
But Chevy changes stuff all the time. I'm still waiting to see a Cobalt coupe and they've already made several changes there from the early stuff I had.
Who knows.

This one reminds me of a new Dodge Durango...Chevy likes to take designs off other automakers don't they?

Good... I'm not the only one who thinks this!
Where are the designers with skill and taste? Definitely NOT in Detroit.

I'll agree with most people and say that the new Impala design is absolutely hideous, but I'm not so quick to bash all the new American (Chevy) designs. The new Chevy Equinox(sp?) is certainly handsome IMHO, and the new Cobalt is a significant step in the right direction after the Cavalier. Ironically enough, though, the Equinox possess several (substantial) bits and pieces from foreign manufacturers.
