I, for all intent and purpose, drove the living sh~t out of my engine and transmission. Neither one died because of it.
We are not talking the normal wear and tear 99.99&% of the people do either. 8000+ rpm redlines, shifting at redline constantly.

I more then expected something to fail because of my testing.

Syncros held, engine held, water pump even held, et cetera.

The diff was close to going out but anyone that has seen my launch my car still can't believe it lasted more then a week.

I am a firm believer that aggressive maintenance is a must and while I do drive the piss out of my car I don't "abuse" it by poor driving style and habits.

I too should be buying lotto tickets. 5yrs & 60K miles on original engine, trans, clutch, water pump. My daily driver! Changed the brake pads, flushed the radiator and change the oil with DINO ever 3-4 months and nothing has ever broken!

What do you guys do to these cars to make them fail?
