hey thanks for all you guys' help...i just wasnt sure if the bat y pipe eliminated the hideous 180 degree bend like the sho shop claims to do on their website...while we're on the topic of exhaust though (99 se MTX) do you have any input on weapon r headers vs. msds headers? and the corresponding y pipes...really im not sure if i should go ahead and get a y pipe with high flow cat or just get the headers/y pipe and use my own (random technology) cat into a custom cat back. thanks again

much like other sho shop claims this one should be taken w/ a grain (large one) of salt. that is they indeed eliminated the bend, but the hideousness of the said bend is overrated.
in fact, and quite contrary to slow slop claims, the bend is useful. It is required for pulse matching. in fact, w/o a chip gains from optimized stock y-pipe are better than that of the slo slop. from what I was told it is possible to extract good gains even from slo slop y-pipe, but only with a good chip -- like really good.

Most of the people on here will tell you that the WR headers are crap. They are a rip-off of the msds design and are of a lesser quality, but then again they are half the price and I've never actually read a post from someone whos owned a set stating that they've failed. Only posts from people saying that they've been told they're bad. I have read many posts from people who do own them saying nothing but good things.
As far as the included y-pipe, the BAT or an optimized stock y would be my choice.
