When we do convert over to whatever software is chosen will we lose all of the valuable knowledge that we have here in UBB and have to start from scratch.

Also, although this isn't important but will post counts transfer also. And before you say "who cares how many posts you have?", I use peoples post counts as a measure of accountability when making transactions and the like. The way I see it, those that have a decent post count have been around long enough to be somewhat more trustworthy than some schmuck that joins for the sole purpose of ripping people off. I know that the screen names are important and all, but honestly I don't remember everyones names....just too many enthusiasts to remember laugh

[22:56] vbulletin is very nice, costs money every year, and only uses mysql, not postgresql
[22:57] $160 for owned license
[22:57] I'll donate some after SZ
[22:57] only costs $30 if you want access to the member's area (to update the shizzle)
[22:57] but $30 a year after that if you want access to new versions
[22:57] Whats $30.00
[22:57] *** _matt278 has joined #contique
[22:57] I'll pay that yearly
[22:57] ok... ;-)
[22:57] Seriously, I will
And I mean it, I will pay the $30.00 every year!

I personally like the UBB over the other two choices, but if I have to pick between the other two it would have to be Vbulletin
