Well, I called up the dealer to see about them checking it out and getting it fixed under warranty... they refer me to a guy that works out of his garage (I have nothing wrong with that) and he wanted to check it out himself and get my warranty info to start a claim.

I'm driving to his house after work and 2 blocks away from his house the car just comes to a stop. Putting it in gear and trying to go just makes a grinding feel (no sound), and the speedometer goes up (like the tires are spinning)... but no movement at all.

I call the guy and he comes over to check it out, he thinks a spline is stripped because the halfshafts kinda vibrate, but don't turn when I give it gas. He hooks a chain up and pulls me to his house and got my warranty info so he can file a claim and see about getting it fixed.

Then I remember about the Quaife. I tell him that is in there, and he is now confuzed about what he's going to do. From what he says, they're going to (more than likely) put a new/reman tranny in, and he won't be able to open it up w/o voiding the warranty. If they go that route I'm going to have him open my tranny and take out the LSD, which means I'll have it in my closet waiting until the warranty on the tranny ends to be installed... or if I trade the SVT in, I may put it up for sale here at a deal since it was "free" to me.

So now my task is to get me a rental car (I'm probly gonna end up with a Kia or Grand Am, maybe a Focus if I'm lucky). Warranty says it will pay $30/day up to $180 total (9 days) for a rental car. More than likely will take more than that, so I'm gonna be out some $ there.
