My rev limiter is set at 109-112mph. It changes when I have more weight in the car. I need to get rid of that after all my performance parts are on it.
My car cant hit that on the drag strip anyways so whats the point of raising it until the car can actually hit it.

Reg. Duratecs and Zetec top speed, I haven't a clue.
But I would think a reg. Duratec would have a top speed of about 135-140mph tops, and a Zetec, who knows, 125mph? That accurate?
John Are you sure about that? I read on one of the websites (not sure where now) that it was 143 for all contours! Let me know.

The SVT with 25-30 more HP & better CD is drag limited to around 143-144mph. The normal Duratec is PCM limited to 112mph and would go around 130-135mph drag limited. This is actual speed, NOT indicated...

Don't forget that increasing speed from 135-145 is VERY difficult. You need a lot more horsepower. Aerodynamic drag is increased signficantly at higher speeds. R&T did an article on this recently, I think they said that based on frontal area, a school bus needs 600,000hp to hit 100mph!

Ok, either you or R&T is bull****ting. 600,000hp? Bwaaaahhaahaha. Dude, that's twice the power of a 777 Boeing, and that fugger goes 500mph. Guarantee you that 1,000hp would be enough for a school bus to hit 100mph and more. John
