WHAT IS THE easist way to get rid of the govener chip in my 95 ford contour se?/???its pissing me off and it slows down at a poor112 mph, that is pethic for a ford contour...any help is greatly appreciated.

u already posted this once  ......besides do u have tires that are speed rated high eneaugh?....youve been watching too much fast and furious dude, these arent race/high speed cars(svt not included)

Get a Superchip from www.superchips.com. Removes the limiter all together. Some advice (I don't want to be a hard-ass): try and phrase things a bit more maturely, you might get some better responses. EDIT: Edited to CORRECT info. Thank you JVT & Perry.

Not to mention a Superchip gets rid of the limiter altogether, not just 'moves it'.
143mph is the official top speed of a SVT, so I'm assuming that's where you got the number from.
And if that's the case, the SVT isn't computer limited, it's drag limited.

The 95 has an OBD-1 computer and will need a different type of chip from 96+ and SVT tours. I'm not sure they sell a superchip for OBD-1.

i want to hit that 170mph top speed in the SVT... how do i do that? lol...  :rolleyes:
