I was seriously considering a salt lick or maybe a feeder but had as yet taken no action (including basic research). The world has changed since I was a kid on my Dad's farm. Who could have imagined such a thing as CWD (twisted proteins in deer spit  )?
Going to the authorities first will eliminate any chance I have of resolving this privately with the land-owner and will certainly guarantee me an enemy.
