No no no, not V6, it's an inline 6. Supra motor.
Plus it is sweet.

Is that why there is a huge V8 symbol on the engine cover? Originally posted by mmarfan: Originally posted by johnwilliams474: ...they took a small lexus with a v6 and a large lexus with a v8 and swaped the engines

I think with such a kick a$$ car, you can get away with a cheeky paint job like that. I am a big fan of the is200, its one of the few cars I would swap a Mondeo for. I would take one over a 3 series, as the bmw is so common in Ireland, and the IS200 is quite rare. I think a lot of new money people buy cars like low end BMW (318's) and C180's but people not just looking for a status symbol and not wanting to prove anything would get the is200. I know that lots of CEGGERS have gone the Mazda 6 route, but if you could get our Mondeo, you would probably be driving the sweet st220. I think if I had an is200 and saw this, I would be scouring ebay for written off Ls430's hoping to find a cheap motor....

No I was stating the fact that the original motor was an inline 6, not a V6.

I heard about the IS-430 project 3 years ago. There was a concept design of it that looked nothing like that car pictured above. What I want is bolder flared fenders along with quad-exhaust, I'll be a believer. the engine however looks like its squeezed in there so thats kinda of a downer. Other then that though..sweet car, I'd hit it

I believe Lexus is still planning on doing this themselves for the next-gen IS.

I would have saved the money from the motor swap for a turbo kit for the I6. Those motors are not exactly like the supra motors, but they can hold well over 500 WHP. Now tha's money well spent if you ask me. Not just as much if not more for a V8 swap with far less power!
