The worst part of it all is that about a million people are without fresh water and prone to disease, and are inaccessible  So many people are going to die because nobody can get to them..

Just finished watching the news conference with Kofi Annan(sp?) and Colon Powell. The US is upping the contribution to $350M at this time, and I don't believe that is a fixed limit either.
Plus, while listening to the radio, it seems the Aid pipeline right now is jammed, so I'm not sure more is better at this point in time.

From what Secretary Powell said, they have re-arranged monies already in the budget, but still need congress to approve the aid package.
