Yes. I cut almost 1" off my BAT pipe. Still a very tight fit. I'll likely trim it a litle more next time I take that area apart.

Hmmm...don't know if I want to cut anything just yet. Still under extended warranty, and it'd be a PITA to try and hide a cut accordian... DANG! Good prices temp me!

Derk you might want to check with your dealership, but I highly doubt cutting the accordian will void your warranty, at least I know it wouldn't with my dealership!

I think headers would more likely void your warranty than that.

That's as stock as it's gonna get compared to actually putting on a BAT Inlet Pipe.

I already have adapter with K&N but the filter is pretty much destroyed. From the post, I gather that the filter you are selling will not be a direct bolt on because the accordian tube will have to be cut to fit this new filter?
Do you sell K&N filters like the ones above? Or one that will fit without modifictaion to tube? I have Mirko adapter (similar to KKM adapter but much nicer).

Derek, check around, people always selling intake parts. I bought a used one cheap - to have in case I screwed the one I was modifying (fortunatly I did not) and to have for trips to dealer - I have a stock airbox/MAF meter/airtube all assembled that can be installed with a screwdriver in under 2 minutes.
