i'll give it a try
the center resonator has been shown to restrict exhaust flow and by removing it - or replacing with a high-flow muffler you can free up anywhere from 1-3 HP (not much, but it's cheap HP) - the rear mufflers aren't very restrictive but lots of folks like to either remove them or replace with a better sounding aftermarket muffler (i.e. Vibrant, Dynomax, Edelbrock, Magnaflow, etc)
i'm probably going to do the Edelbrock 5503 and cut the rear mufflers and put some new tips on the back... (probably 3.5")
