All RPM Series mufflers have a limited lifetime warranty, are stock replacement parts and 50-state street legal. Testing verified that these mufflers ran quieter and produced more power than the competition. Our 3" center in/center out on a 1966 Shelby Mustang produced only 91 db. A competitor?s muffler on the same car measured 94 db. In dyno tests on a B/B Chevy, #5526 cranked out 14-ft/lbs. More torque at 5000 rpm than competitor?s 3" single offset muffler.

This muffler is a Center In/ Offset Out with 2.25" pipe.

the only diff between 79.99 and 89.99 is 3 inches in length and you can return anything to summit and they will even reimburse you the cost of shipping it back to them.

5505 for me! I completely forgot about those mufflers! Maybe get one 5505 for center, and two 5503's for the rear? Very yummy looking design, too. High-flow would be great for the turbo.

Todd,

Wouldnt everyone with the SHO Y pipe go with a 5502 2.5" vs the 5503 2.25".

The exit pipe is 2.5" out of the cat and then run a reducer to 2.25" into exhaust. Wouldn't this be the ideal setup for this muffler.

OhSigmaChi is referring ot the shorter series of the same RPM muffler for $10 less. 18" vs 15"

Can also be had at www.partsamerica.com They do have free ship specials at times.

yep but then i'd have to run the reducer after the muffler smile

i'm trying not to replace the rear pipes smile

i really don't think that the stock motor can truely benefit from the 2.5" pipes - hell a 5.0L barely starts to work the 2.25" pipes

OhSigmaChi - gotcha smile understood...

Arent we running the reducer before the resonator now? not that I know anything about flow, I would like to know the ideal location to mount the reducer.

Been saving my pennies to do the exact same thing as you. Stock pipes/mufflers res back.
