That's even worse than the 8/100. Most people drive more than 10,000 miles a year and are likely to have the warranty expire before the time is up, and are less likely to be covered when the batteries need replacement (more likely to need that cost included in the cost of ownership).
Just because it's a Honda doesn't mean it never has problems. We aren't talking about bugs in the engineering, just things wearing out at inopportune moments.
