Sup guys, i'm lookin into buying a 98 SVT that has 90k miles on it, one of the only question that is bothering me is how long should the engine last if i do the standard maintence, oil changes etc...

well, it could last a very long time, as long as you dont punch the gas all of the time and take good care of it.. it could easily go to 200K miles. There are some people who have duratecs at 180 and 190K miles on here.

I have 200,000 miles on mine. It still runs like it was new. I drive somewhat agressive, and I also provide agressive maintenance. My goal is to get it to 300,000 miles and then see if I still like it.

There's a guy out there with at least 210 plus mi. on the clock, still going strong.

i've got 154k and i try to hit redline every chance i get only problem i've had w/the engine is the altenator and o2 synsors

150- 200k is my goal when i get a csvt soon. after that it's 3L time!
