I'm contemplating doing this myself. That leather can be a little cold in the AM. Plus, my car is going to be visiting the Auto Body shop in a little while too.
I sent an email off to CheckCorp, and they replied asking that I call them at 800-927-6787.
So did you already buy a kit? If so, how much? Where did you get it? Why did you get that one.
Anyone around that got in that previous group buy? What are your opinions of the product? Would you recommend it? How easy was it to install?
Thanks in Adavance.

I have ones from checkcorp b/c they got good reviews from a CEGer who has them since the old GB.
easy to install, although w/ cloth seats it was a bit of a bother... but it's very nice and warm now
I went w/ basic kit, as my butt is not sensitive enough to require anything more sophisticated. In reality I have them on for several minutes and then switch off as they are no longer needed. basic kit is about $90, next level is whooping $150 I mean come on!
this is more expensive than in times of the group buy, but I enjoy every cent of this modification.

I never really got this...the whole heated seats thing...I mean in the winter your going to be wearing pants so how cold can the seats really be? plus after sitting on them for several mins, their going to be pretty warm as it is. i dunno I kinda think its a gimmick high priced luxury cars include as a means for the higher price tag (meaning they gotta give you somethin to justify the higher price).
Now if there was such a thing as "cooled seats" well maybe i'd be interested b/c leather gets damn hot to the touch in the summer when your wearing shorts. just my .02

heated seats are a must once you have them. I drove in my parents 05 lariat, that had heated seats. was in it for over a month and a half. used the heated seats everywhere i went. every day up into someone changed lanes in front of me, and the next day we put my car back together. So I am happy now. but would love heated seats!

I take it you've never lived in the north with leather during the winter. It's f'n cold. Well says you're in PA. Gues you've never been a car with leather and heated seats. I assure you it's no "gimmick."

I had a K2 golf...try skiing all day then hitting those seats, it's certainly not overrated.

The ladies like it the most, as they may be wearing skirts during the winter. I know my ex called it the best modification to my SVT.
