Yeah the KDW2s wear quick. Friend had them on his srt4 and they lasted ~16k miles, of course that has a lot to do with driving style, but that is still quick.

I have heard nothing but good reviews on the G-Force Sport.

Same G-Force tire and tread technology just designed for smaller cars. It is suppose to out perform the KDW line with it's superior tread design and more predictable handling.

Yes I've been shopping for tires as of late. I'll need a new set here shortly. These are on my short list with 1 or 2 others.

I bet you have. So what gear do you actually get traction in?

3rd gear holds just fine unless it's damp out.

Man that's just weak...

Even my 2.5L couldn't use 1st gear without wheel spin.

Demon.. what other 1 or 2 tires are on your list? I just purchased the Bridgestone S-03 Pole Positions, and I upgraded from the S-02PP as well.. I can't say that they are a long LASTING tire, but sticky is a word that I could easily begin to overuse on these...

Tires I've driven in recent years, ranked by my personal preferrence:

1. Bridgestone Pole Position S-02 (SVT w/ "17 DTM's & OZ's) Excellent performance wet or dry, perfect balance of grip, noise, etc. Wore out quicker than others, but still good value.
2. Pirelli P-Zero Rosso (S80 w/"18)Excellent/Great performance wet or dry - Quiet and sticky! Dangerous in snow...
3. (tie)Goodyear Eagle F1-GS (SVT w/ "17) Great performance - trade some grip for compliance and noise, very good value
3. (tie)Bridgestone Pole Position S-03 (SVT w/ "17)Great performance - trade some compliance and noise for grip, very good value
4. Bridgestone Potenza RE730 (SVT w/ "17) Long lasting and reasonable, predictable grip, a bit noisy
5. BF Goodrich G-Force KDW (SVT OEM "16), wore out way to fast, very good grip wet or dry, but expensive given durability limitations

My unsolicited opinions

I've never driven on Michelin's, they always seemd very expensive when weighed against how often i replaced tires. Also, I am a firm beliver in snow tires for the winter months here in Michigan. For Snow tires, I like, in this order:

1. Dunlop WinterSport M3
2. Bridgestone Blizzak LM25
3. Goodyear Eagle UltraGrip Ice (not a performance tire, but great on a non performance vehicle

I can't believe you put a goodyear tire that high on your list.

The only thing I've ever complimented a goodyear tire on is longevity. Other then that I have never had what I would call a "good" performing goodyear tire.

I would list the KDW up near the top based on performance alone. They do not last any noticable amount less then a comparable high performance tire. Their main "con" is a very high road noise. I do not care about NVH in a pseudo performance car anyway.

I would list the S-03/S-02 at or near the top as well. Performing as good as or near the KDW. A few even say a little better. However for the price difference it's a push a best.
Now with the G-Force Sport line being compared above the KDW line by several respected testers that would IMO push it well above the Bridgestone since it's price point is awesome for a high performance tire of it's caliber.

My other tire contender is Falken ZIEX 512. Great all around performance, typical fast tire wear, and a very nice price point. They were top on my list until I started reading some of the G-Force Sport reviews. Now those 2 are the top 2 with Bridgestone pretty much out of view based on it's steep price point and similiar performance.

The G-Force Sports seemed like an excellent value to me as well. I'm enjoying them so far.

I don't know that I would make a performance comparison to the KDW-2 because of the treadwear rating. The compound may be just a bit hard compared to the KDW-2s and therefore not quite grip as well. I gladly sacrificed some grip in favor of low noise and better treadwear rating. The bonus was the pricing.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
