I have to say, I am impressed with the outpouring of support from all over the world with this. Last nite I went to my mothers house, and she was packing... It caught me off guard since I didn't know she was going anywhere, and when I asked she tells me that she volunteered with the WHO to go help distribute aid in Asia. (She was an EMT for 10 yrs, ran the Tramua Center for 5+ yrs, worked ER for 5+ yrs, and is still the nurse with the most certifications in the city.)

I felt...proud. I guess its not very strange to see her do something like this, taking a leave of absense and heading to an unknown country to help people, since that's what she's dedicated her life to. I simply cannot believe the number of people who've done things like this, it floors me, yet makes me proud to be an American.
