did it ever occur to you that many people in this world don't WANT to live like we do. many times, people from these "dumps" will choose to continue their way of life rather than accept ours. and i am happy that they do. it's what makes humankind so diverse.






I highly doubt that. There is a difference between a Native American living in his Teepee on the land, and some poor East Indian family living a rat infested, poor shanty town.

ANYWAY, Hitmans comments are being said all over the world right now. This event makes 9/11 look like a walk in in the park, but where is the 24 hour news coverage? Oh, my bad. It was just those "other" people that live in "Third World Slums."

I am very said that there was such a great loss of life. News reports are now saying 22,000+ people have died. What also saddens me is that even in the year 2004 we still have horrible living conditions around the world. Granted if a wave like that hit the east coast there would probably still be a loss of life, but damn.
