Three of my friends are going to be in Tailand for a project (IQP) next term. One is already out there ... thankfully, she's okay. I had no idea the tsunami was as big as that .. evidently she was staying at that beach too ...

She e-mailed us saying she "met some cool Austrians" and are staying with them at another beach. I couldn't imagine being alone halfway across the world when something like that happens.
