The Dolphins showed that if you put pressure on Brady and our able to have a productive offensive game of your own then you will beat the Patriots.
Gee, did you just come from football 101? Can you name any teams where the key to beating them isn't putting pressure on their QB????? dumbass
Well known that the pats lack a defense? well known by who, the three teams that rank ahead of them in scoring defense??? Yes, the steelers have the number one scoring D at 15.1 pts/game but the pats are 4th at 16.9 Factor in the Pats 4th best offense at 27.7/ game vs the steelers at 22.9/ game and I don't see how you can say "your" team is better than "mine". And if i'm not mistaken didn't a previous post say that the pats were one dimensional???? So one dimesional that they are ranked #4 on offense and defense!!!!!
fist of all you forgot one important factor...you forgot the NFC (you know the OTHER half of the NFL) This being said the Pats rank 6th in the NFL where the Steelers rank 2nd in the NFL in pts/game.
However yards/game given up is a better representation of how good the defense is.....not pts/game. Points per game takes into the oposing teams strong points and weaknesses too much, such as red zone scoring % etc. Which is why yards/game is used to determine "the overall" best defense which again is the Steelers. (Since I know you've been going to ESPN.com to try to come up w/ stats to fight against the Steelers, why do you think when you click on "overall" in the defense category the default setting is set at yards/game. hint hint thats how they calculate the best overall D)
The Pats rank 9th in the NFL in yards/game ("overall") and the Steelers rank #1 in the NFL in yards/game ("overall")
face it the Steelers are a more superior team. They beat the Pats already and will do it again. NO ONE comes through the Burgh and comes out w/ a win. NO ONE
Chill, when you start correcting people on their stats, you might want to understand them first. Widely known they don't have a defense? If anything, they are widely know as having one of the top defenses in the NFL with the most depth.
[list] Total Offense NE(8) PITT(13) Rushing offense NE(8) PITT(2) Passing Offense NE(13) PITT (26) Total Defense NE(9) PITT (1) Rushing Defense NE(4) PITT (1) Passing Defense NE(16) PITT(4)
Steelers held offenses to 15.1 PPG, NE held opponents to 16.9. NE forced 5 more turnovers and 6 more sacks than PITT.
Basically, these two teams are pretty evenly matched. NE had a tougher schedule which hurts some of their stats. They certainly have a better offense, and their defense is comparable if everyone is healthy. The team that would scare me the most right now in the AFC is actually Buffalo. Their defense is about as good as both of these teams and with McGahee in the backfield, they have really started tearing some teams up.
