Face it, the steelers beat the Pats fair and square, but they certainly didn't kick their asses. These are both good teams. Home field doesn't mean as much either way in terms of climate because both teams are cold weather teams. If you have to play Indy, then you definately want them in the burg not the dome. Don't forget that the pats had to win on the road in 01 before coming home for the oakland game and the "tuck rule". I'm not making up excuses but presenting facts. You beat us without Corey dillon. Having Dillon in the playoffs will be a different story. This game on paper is as close to a toss up as you can get. Tom Brady is living proof that a guy like Big Ben may be capable of winning it all, but even Brady was in the NFL for 2 years before winning the super bowl. He didn't play, but he learned the NFL game. I think it is a different story having a true rookie in there.
BTW, didn't big ben get hurt yesterday? What happened to him?
I am a Pats fan and even I can admit that Pittsburgh handed it to the Pats. It was like 24-3 after the first quarter. The game was never really close.
Also, the Pats didn't have to win on the road before the game against Oakland in '01. They had a first round bye, then the snow game against Oakland, then the AFC title game in Pittsburgh.
