he broke a record......but with that powerful defense the colts have they are sure to go soooooo far in the playoffs...i see a first round loss in their future...so he can enjoy that record while he's watching the superbowl on tv.....

i will admit he is a great qb and a pretty classy guy...he didn't even celebrate,he was more concerned with tying the game...there's not alot of players in the nfl that would react like that about breaking a record...he's a great qb,but i think the chargers defense showed alot of the flaws in their offense, and the fact that they have no defense at all, only leads to an early exit from the playoffs

Poor choice in thread titles. As soon as Peyton wins a Super Bowl (or any big game for that matter), and comes close to Favre's status in the league, then you can ask who Favre is.

Only chosen as a response to this idiotic statement.

I was thinking the same thing. Favre is getting old and isnt at the height of his career anymore, but is still an amazing player! Sure, Manning broke the record (which I think is awesome btw...not to mention he was very humble about it), but I think when when you compare the 2 guys careers, Favre is still the better QB. 3 time MVP, 2 superbowl appearances, 1 superbowl win, the countless times hes lead his team to the playoffs, 44 touchdown passes in 1996 (still not to shabby!), and over 200 consecutive games played.

Don't get me wrong, I think Favre is a truly world class quarterback, I deeply respect him...

But I think its about damn time the rest of you start giving Peyton Manning a little respect in return!!!

He's certainly earned it...

If given a choice between both guys in their prime on the same team and I will take Peyton Manning every time over Favre without a second of hesitation. Farve may be tough, but Manning can do everything Farve can, and in most cases, he does it better. Besides, he is tough, and is an utter freak about preperation. The guy is now throwing no-look passes on the field. He is Magic Johnson in a football uniform.
