I can speak from experience, that cast aluminum is brittle as hell....don't believe me, check out my post w/ pics
Cast Aluminum Sucks!!! Mind you, this piece fell off when I removed the bracket, and I had stock everything concerning mounts and stab-o-shoc. If that piece of the bellhousing can't hold up with that amount of load, I shudder to think how it will react to a solid mount replacement.
