im aware of all that stuff....

Fuel: upgraded fuel pump, injectors, rising rate fuel preasure regulator...being controlled by a Acell DFI, AEM Engine management, or Apexi S-AFC

Spark: MSD, Crane, or Programmable ECU's mentioned above...

headers: will probablly be MSDS headers, but i dont need the y-pipe...so probablly Yo-Dude headers

all that engine management isnt really needed with one big aerocharger, but i have other plans too...

Sounds like a decent plan, although the FPR is kind of a band-aid fix on gettting more fuel into the motor. Since you are prepared to spend some money, I'd go with a programmable ECU.

Also, where do you plan on placing the turbo? Above the tranny or under by where the y-pipe runs into the cat-back?

Good luck.

Good luck man. But I honestly think you are gonna get in way over your head.

And fwiw, all turbos have lag, even the aerocharger, though I will give you that the aerocharger can reduce lag by quite a bit.

What exactly is this Aerocharger turbo? The webpage sounds VERY cheesy.

If i end up getting an Apexi S-AFC i'll get a FPR, but not if i get a ECU.

I need to get a better look at the bottom of a SVT, so as of now...i know that i am putting it at the end of one of the headers, probablly the shorter one, but i am not sure clearence will allow it, so i need some more time under an SVT.

fwiw, I have a hard time taking you seriously considering your original login name.

I really think you have no idea what you are gonna get yourself into. And if you do happen to get things together, i predict you will break something major in the motor very quickly; unless you learn quite a bit between now and the time you put things together.

TurboXS BOV's are vent to atmosphere (not good for non MAP cars, i.e. the Contour)

FMIC is a waste of effort to install, and you'll be hacking the frame to get it in there.

The T28 in our kit starts making good boost around 2000RPM. BTW, how much is that bad boy Aerocharger? Are they actually selling them now, or do they still have problems with their impellor manufacturer?

Why go through the money and headache of doing a custom install when a perfectly good turbo solution will be available to you in a short time?

because a T28 for $4000 + or - $500 is too much... a t28 has limited gains, and i am looking for more...

by the way, how much hp you think the kit will put out?

Can anyone tell me what really the Aerocharger is? I've never really heard of it other than on some Ricer's stickers collection before. Their webpage also look so cheesy.

BTW, I don't think the "limited gain" on Chris's turbo would be a problem at all. The stock drivetrain can't really take much more than 300HP with some serious beefing up operation anyway. And without different gearset ratio, all you're gonna do is spin the wheels all day long so you ain't getting any gain. Am I right or wrong about this?
