Hmmm, I actually don't recall seeing anything there when I removed it the first time, just the screen on the one end. Hopefully its all there, I don't understand why it would be missing.
Thanks

Well, I cleaned the MAF and hooked everything back up and the CEL light came on again. What else can I start looking at? Could the EGR valve be stuck open or something? I didn't physically hear any vacuum leaks or anything so I am not sure if that is the problem. The guy that I bought the car from said he was told he needed an o2 sensor, but with the codes saying that banks 1 and 2 are running rich I would think that rules out the o2's because normally if it was running lean that could be a problem.
So anyway, what else can I do to try and track down the problem. Thanks for the help so far

Is there any way for me to narrow down which o2 sensor(s) may be bad? I am not really sure what else could be the problem at this point and I have to get the car inspected soon so the codes have to be cleared.
Any input is appreciated

Did you check the fuel pressure?
You can scope the O2's to see how they're working.
Or, get a OBDII reader.
Or, take it to Ford.

Already got it scanned and it was posted in my first post. The codes that I pulled were PO172 and PO175.....
No I didn't check the fuel pressure because I don't really have any means to do so, pretty soon I may just bring it to someone to check it out

So can anyone help? I am at a loss, I just got the codes pulled again and they are still the same. Doesn't mention anything about upstream or downstream sensors so I doubt that its the sensors so I don't know what else to do at this point....

Is there anything else I can try at this point? I find it strange that it is showing that it is running rich on both banks thats why I doubt it is a loose connector, bad sensor or anything like that. I have cleaned the MAF a couple times and I think im doing it right, but the codes keep coming back.
Anyone have any other ideas?

No, I should have said scan tool, one that will show operating data.
It's important to know what the MAF, ECT, fuel pressure, O2's and other sensors are telling the computer. With that data it will be easy to find the problem.
If you take it to the dealer for a diagnostic that is what they will do.

Yea but doesn't a dealer charge like 100 bucks to hook it up to their diagnostic tool? I would like to try and avoid that if possible, but if not I guess I will have to do it.
